Who are we?
We are the Feedback Loop and we process your personal data to provide you with direct contact with our associates, and to undertake our responsibilities and legal statutory obligations, and to monitor our own performance for the purposes of this website, the shared Linkedin Page and other social media channels.
The Feedback Loop is a data controller, and the associates are joint data controllers of these online channels.

We believe in complete transparency
When you Like, Comment, Share or Follow an article or post on Linkedin or any of our social media channels, these are controlled by you and by Linkedin. The analytics functions within these social networks will take anonymised data allowing us to see interaction rates with our posts so we may better improve the content we share on social media channels.
The data will not be passed without your permission to external organisations or individuals other than those acting in a capacity as agents for the University. The University does not sell any data to third party organisations.
When you register interest in the The Feedback Loop through our social media channels, for example in the form of a private message, we may ask you for more information such as email and course of interest. This information is so we may better answer your enquiry and send you information relevant to your topic or area of interest.
If you are interested in engaging the services of any of our associates, we will use this data to send you email communications which put you in touch with the appropriate contact, and provide useful information to help you make a decision about pursuing services with us.
We use Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Dotmailer to provide a source of data on enquirers, applicants, current students and graduates. We share this information only with the e-communications, student and academic services, events and faculty-based teams. The intention behind this shared resource is to improve mutual understanding, by enhancing the quality of our communication at all levels and developing a better appreciation of our relationship with you. The systems we use have strict Business Policies and permissions integrated into them.
We are not currently using Paid Social Media such as Linkedin Advertising that will include Web Tracking. For information on this please see the Paid Social Media Statement.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, the associates of The Feedback Loop are joint “data controllers” for anyone submitting data in private messages.
What personal data do we process?
Any personal data held about you will usually have been collected from you during the course of your relationship with The Feedback Loop. This information is processed separately from any information gathered by individual associates who’s services you may wish to engage.
This “shared tier” is accessible by associates of the Feedback Loop. It includes your name, and Linkedin messaging address. It may also include some information you publish on Linkedin and any information that you give us freely in the course of a messaging exchange or using other tools provided by Linkedin.
Access to further information such as financial data will only be collected by an individual associate if you have engaged them to provide a service. This will be processed under a different business entity and is their responsibility.
Consent is needed to use your data for other purposes
If you join a mailing list or provide information via another Feedback Loop product or service, you will be asked for your consent to allow us to process your data. The Feedback Loop may use the this data for a range of communications and marketing activities with you, including distribution of publications, the promotion of benefits and services, notification of events and other purposes.
Tools may be used to monitor the effectiveness of our communications with you, including email tracking, which records when an email from us is opened and/or how many links are clicked within the message. The data from this tracking are generally used in an anonymised form.
You have the right under the DPA to object to the holding of your data on the system or the use of your data for any or all of the above purposes.
Please contact FEEDBACK LOOP EMAIL if you wish to opt out of your details being held, or if you wish to opt out of receiving any or all of the range of communications.
If you request that your data are removed we will remove all personal data, with the following exceptions:
a note of the request to remove your data will be retained, to prevent you from being inadvertently contacted in the future; an anonymous reference may be attributed to you in documentation compiled from the record of your event attendances and/or the record of donations that you have given, for the purposes of internal or external recording or accounting for any event attended, and for any donation required to be retained for audit, reporting or accounting purposes.
Security measures and Data Retention
We take the security of your personal data very seriously. The systems have measures in place to ensure compliance with all ICO regulations in addition to the measures we have in place to
In accordance with the principles of the DPA, in any systems outside of Linkedin only as long as the data are relevant for the purpose or for reporting or auditing requirements. Please let us know if your details need updating at any time.
It is your responsibility to amend any data on Linkedin as this is not processed by us.
Your rights to access your personal data
As a data subject, under the DPA you have rights of access to the personal data held about you by any data controller.
